This is quite an interesting question because it's extremely subjective. To make it harder, I'm not going to provide any criteria other than it should be the best all-around/over all car.
I'm going to have to go with the R34 GTR for this one (Legality non-withstanding).
You get tons of attention. Just ask !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!
It's unique, at least in America
You can fit your family in it
It's quick
It's very modifiable
It's very pretty
It's reliable if you leave it stock
You can use it year round

bloop.
I'd personally rather the 260RS
less attention and more daily useful than the Skyline.
Same powuh and 85% of the handling.
it's currently numero uno on my list of cars to get if I sell the MR2 (though I might only be able to afford the 25T which is still plenty quick)

Plus, if you really want, you can pop a Skyline front clip on there and presto! Skyline wagon B)

I am incredibly biased, but as an overall car, it is hard to beat.
Four doors, decent gas milage, pretty, easy to mod, somewhat unique, reliable, usable year round (with the right tires), comfortable, quick enough, beautiful handling (for a FWD).

I'd personally prefer this front end over the Skyline face ;)

This.
Or this.

Boom.
It's the best car ever. Sure it's not that practical and don't you dare DD one, but it's the best car ever built.

I want to say Volvo V60 Polestar, but the CTS-V wagon is way more insane.
Wagon, so uber practical.
Supercharged V8, so crazy fast.
RWD, so burnouts.
Available in manual.
Luxurious.
Modifiable as well.

10/10 would Henessey 1200 CTSV wagon
![]() 10/26/2014 at 20:46 |
|
Now for a real answer, maybe the Subaru Forester STi
If you had to drive one car for the rest of your life, it would be practical enough to not be a crazy inconvenience and fast enough to have fun on the back roads. It seems to me that it will do pretty much everything you want.

WRX and that is final. 5MT (Or 6MT as of 2015), wagon/hatch (Or sedan only as of 2015), AWD, seats 5, drives well. Therefore WRX es numero uno.

True that.

haters gonna hate but I prefer the original front end. the 34's are just.. done.
I'm also of more a mind to get the 25T and replace the block with an RB30.. keep the RB25DET head and build for silly amounts of power.

Cost no object, BMW M5 wagon. Roomy, sporty, practical. Cost important? Subaru Outback. Roomy, somewhat fund to drive, practical, AWD.

Great car, but its quite snug in the rear. Adults won't be comfertable. It's a huge turn off, I was going to save up for one too :(

I'm 5'11" and found it uncomfortable in the back, she owns a Civic. We also have a Corolla and Mazda 3. All same size-class but the Focus is smaller in interior volume. I was disappointed, I need the room becuase I transport people often

Studebaker Wagonaire.
Body on frame.
Spacious, comfortable, durable all from a car built off a compact Chasis. You can seat six and carry many things IN A COMPACT.
289 ci V8 that could have been supercharged.
The retractable roof allows you to carry things in your wagon that only trucks could.
